Two most frequent types of vertebrae dislocation are fixation and subluxation. Both of them have a functional nature, i.e. they are completely curable.
In the case of fixation two or three vertebrae simultaneously dislocate in relation to each other. However, the nerve root is not compressed, while the muscles, joint to those vertebrae, get weaker.
In the case of subluxation a single vertebra dislocates at a certain angle with simultaneous compression of a nerve root, which causes muscle weakness, pain, numbness or loss of sensitivity at the spot of innervation of this root depending on strength and degree of compression.
